Today we have the assessment on our 32 bars melody. We had to perform our melody or we could play a classical pieces. The performance was according to the music instrument as usual starting from piano, guitar, violin then woodwind. Then lastly the best 32 bars composition was chosen and anoounced

Today the students that didn't perform last time had to perform. Everyone had to perform their melody. The performance is according to the instrument groups. Starting from piano, guitar, violin and lastly woodwind. All teachers from each instrument groups also showed what kind of practice the students are supposed to have.

Today we learnt how to transfer C Major scales to other scales. It was explain by Mr.John since Mr.Sadrakh wasn't feeling well and came late to class. We are still discussing on the major scales. The major scales was written down and we had to say what the notes are. Some people also had to perform according to their instruments.

The homework that was the major scales was checked and it was given scores. Some people are scolded for the messy homework. The proper was to do the homework was shown and some people's scores were told. Then we had to guess which note it is that is written on the board. We also had to note down chords.

Today we had to submit the homework of last week which is the major scales. Mr.Harry taught us for a while since Mr.Sadrakh was called by the principal so he came late. Mr.Harry exaplained again on the Major Scales. People were then called to the front to check on the Major Scales in which we have to write it down on the board and if someone makes a mistake someone else has to correct it

Today the teacher taugh use about the Major Scale, one wit 1 shaft and the other with no shft. We also had to guess which pentatonic a melody is. The melody is written y Mr.Sadrakh. We also had to find found about the other Major Scales, the one with 2 shafts, 3 shafts and 4 shafts

Today we didn't learn new things. Most of the class had to perform using their instruments. The teacher made some simple melody of two bars. No homework was submitted since the blog is our homework. So the ones who didn'y make the blog got reminders.

Today we met our Music Theory teacher, Mr.Sadrakh and we also heard an explanation on the criteria for music. We also listened to some music performances by two of the teachers. We were also divided to 4 instrument groups by the teahcer. We get to chose which one we want to join.

We sang a song called Sakura. We were also reminded to buy our instruments. We were divided into groups for a presentation on traditional music. The explanation for the criteria were provided and we had to do a presentation on traditional music of a country. We will have to do a rehearsal for the presentation.

Today we divided the jobs for the presentation and we had to do a small presentation about it. Now we have our jobs for the presentation and ready to start it. Next time the teacher said we will learn scales

Today we did the assessment for the song Sakura. The assessment made me really nervous and luckily I was able to memorise the song. I'm scared to know the score but I'll accept it since I did what I could good or bad is okay.

Today we did the presentation on the traditional music. Our topic is about Japan. It was done in groups and everybody did their best on it. This kind of presentation is nice since it improves teamwork and agreement. We also got to see presentations from other groups about other country's traditional music.

Today the presentation assessment continued. It was about India and Korea.It was quite good and the teacher asked us to note down the C Major scales

Today we learn about the pentatonic scales. Mr.Sadrakh showed us how it sounds on the piano. He showed us some songs and we had to guess which pentatonic is used. We were shown how to make a few bars of notes using the pentatonic scales. We had a homework which was to make a 16 bar melody.

Today we had to submit the homework. The teacher decided to play some of the melody. Some students was scolded for not making their homework but that's something I should not poke my nose into. We also had to make another 16 bar melody continueing the 1st one.

Today we had to submit another 16 bar melody so the total is 32 bars. From each instrument gorup one person is chosen and their piece is played. Some songs were corrected for the mistakes but most pieces are from the boys which had a lot of correction to most of them. In the end everybody had to submit the book and the C Major scale was explained.

Today we had to copy the 32 melody we made to another paper. We have no homework for today and Mr.Sadrakh informed us that he has finished checking the booklet. We learnt how to make blog and we had to make one and send the link to Mr.Sadrakh.
